Akyazı is located approximately 30 km from the center of Sakarya province. It is bordered by Hendek to the east, Karapürçek and Erenler to the west, and Bolu (Mudurnu) to the south. When Akyazı is mentioned, the first things that come to mind are "green" and "healing." The district has a very high tourism potential. 

1. Kuzuluk Thermal Springs One of Türkiye's most important thermal tourism centers. These healing waters, used since the Seljuk period, are known to be beneficial for rheumatism, skin diseases, and joint pain. The surrounding Kuzuluk Nature Park is ideal for picnics and nature walks.

Acelle Plateau: Famous for its wide plains and traditional plateau festivals held every year. 

Sultanpınar Plateau: Known for its untouched nature and cool air. 

Keremali Plateau: A popular spot for photographers with its lake at the summit and magnificent views. 

 

3. Natural Wonders Kayadibi and Follik Waterfalls: Offer hidden visual feasts for trekking enthusiasts. Sülüklü Lake: Located on the border of Akyazı and Bolu, this landslide-dammed lake is a must-have for campers.
